Sucioperro rock the Manchester Roadhouse.

2 Girls are dancing wildly as if there lives depended on it. Lads down the front are jumping and moshing and others are supping their pints, listening intently.

This is a Sucioperro gig, and although the venue is by no means near full capacity those that are in attendance are clearly loving every second. The songs from new album Pain Agency are integrated into the set with old favourites from Random Acts of Intimacy and go down a storm with the crowd.

Comparisons are often made with Biffy Clyro. Both bands are a three piece from Ayrshire, and Sucio frontman Dragon (J.P Reid) has a side project by the name of Marmaduke Duke with Biffy Clyro's lead man, Simon Neil) and though some songs do have similarities, seeing them live confirms they definitely each have their own distinctive style.

It seems a shame that more people South of the Scottish border don't know about them. This band are well worth checking out if they are playing a town near you, if you like your rock music loud, energetic, and at times verging on metal, whilst never straying too far from a catchy riff or melody.
